Plzeň victorious in Poland
The first match of 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League was played in Ruch Chorzów on Thursday. This team ended up at the 2nd position in Polish League. Viktoria Plzeň won 0:2 and have a good position to the return match.
The beginning of the match was quite wary. A midfielder Janoszek sent the first warning of Chorzów at the Bolek´s goal in the 8th minute.The visiting team threatened Ruch in 14th minute by Kolář but unfortunately he wasn´t able to score. Viktoria started to take over the iniciative but they had a lack of calm in the end. At first Pavel Horváth shot above the goal, Jakub Hora a while later and Michal Ďuriš in 34th minute, too. All actions finished soon. The result after half-time was draw 0:0.
Viktoria entered the second half-time in a very fighting way but their effort ended in a very systematic home defence. Martin Fillo tried to break in twice but even he was unsuccessful. David Limebrský dangerously shot in 60th minute but he passed the goal about a few centimetres. The activity of Plzeň showed result in 80th minute when a fresher at the pitch scored (0:1). Five minutes later Michal Ďuriš shot and the home goalkeeper didn´t catch the ball (0:2). There were no more chances till the end so Viktoria brings a win 0:2.
The return match is played in Doosan Arena Plzeň on the 9th August from 20:00 and all fans are welcome.
