Victory to enter the Europa League fight
In Tbilis, the capital of Georgia, there was the start for new season 2012/13 for the football players from Plzeň. They met FC Metalurgi Rustavi in the 2nd qualifying round to the Europa League. In this team there is a former Viktoria player Dimitri Tatanashvili. There were two summer reinforcements in Viktoria lineup - the goalkeeper Petr Bolek and armenian player Edgar Malakyan.
Since the first minutes it was clear who is the one to lead the game. Viktoria didn´t let its oponent to the ball. Martin Fillo was the first one to have the chance for goal when he got a pass from Pavel Horváth. Unfortunately, he wasn´t successful. 8 minutes later Michal Ďuriš, who played instead of Marek Bakoš, was shooting again with the same result. In the 14th minute Pavel Horváth scored and Viktoria went to win. The pressure of Plzeň didn´t easy up after scoring. Vláďa Darida showed his talent 2 minutes later but unsuccessfully and František Ševinský could add one more goal but didn´t. In 29th minute Pavel Vrba and his team was shocked because the first Rustavi shoot ended up in the goal - draw 1:1. Dimitri Tatanashvili took the ball to Pavel Horváth in the middle of the pitch and run to the goal, the goalkeeper had no chance. However, 3 minutes later David Limberský found with his centre Daniel Kolář who scored for Plzeň again - 1:2. Rustavi played the end of the first half-time very well. Irakli Maisuradze made a threatening shoot. The first one to threaten in the sekond half-time was the home team, namely Irakli Maisuradze. Petr Bolek saved it and they had an unsuccessful corner kick. In 55th minuteVladimír darida got to the action again but Bediashvili was ready. Martin Fillo tried the same, too, but the home goalkeeper was waiting for it. In 59th minute Pavel Horváth added the third Viktoria´s goal - 1:3. this was the final result. There was a substitution of Martin Zeman for Edgar Malakyan after that but the score didn´t change till the end of the match.
Plzeň kept their pressure till the end and could celebrate the first victory this season. The return match is planned for the next Thursday 26th July in Štruncovy sady, Plzeň.
