Viktoria brings a point from Vysočina

The first away match of the 1st Gambrinus League wasn´t easy for Viktoria at all. Jihlava caught Slavia Praha on the hop and tried to do the same with Viktoria.

Daniel Kolář had the first bigger chance of the first half-time in the 2nd minute. He prepared his chance but the home goalkeeper prevented the goal. In the 11th minute the home team showed their strenght when Josl shot the goal but unssuccessfully. Immediately after that they were lucky to score when Koloušek played a free kick in the 15th minute, Karol Karlík scored by his head (1:0). Viktoria was fighting and scored quite soon, too. In the 31st minute Marek Bakoš got a great centre but a goalkeeper Blažek caught his shoot. However, he wasn´t successful to catch the second wave of the attack. Daniel Kolář scored (1:1). Later a goal of home team wasn´t accepted because one of the home players played with hand. At the end David Limberský broke in and prepared a great ball for Daniel Kolář but Jaromír Blažek was luckier. The first half-time ended with a draw 1:1.

Plzeň literally stormed into the second half-time and Marek Bakoš had a big chance but again – there was a barrier Jaromír Blažek. This situation repeated several moments later. In 59th minute Bakoš shot again but was unsuccessful. In the 60th minute Masopust attacked Viktoria´s goal but was inaccurate. The pace of game slowed down, the home team drew together to defence and tried more breaks-in while Viktoria tried to play their game, kept the ball and made effort to break the defence with quick passes. In extra time Viktoria had one more chance when František Ševinský hit the bar. Even Viktoria had superiority, they weren´t able to turn their chances into goal so the final result of the match is a draw 1:1.
