Viktoria Plzeň announce a new reinforcement from abroad – Slovakian midfielder Jakub Hromada. The player gained experience in Italy and in junior national team. His contract is for one year for the time being.

20-years-old Hromada was a player of Italian Sampdoria where he moved from Juventus. In the last season he played on loan in Slovakian Senice. „I´m glad we can welcome here a player like this. Jakub engaged our attention thanks to his well-done season,“ the manager Adolf Šádek says. „We have got only good experience with Slovakian footballers and I dare to claim we´ve got Slovakian football world well observed. In spite of his low age he is mature in terms of football and personality because he played in abroad so I´m sure he will get a chance to fight for his place. He´s a universal player so he can play at more positions in the midfield.“

Jakub Hromada was happy to transfer to the Czech champion Viktoria Plzeň. „I´m glad I can be a part of such a great Czech club who is gonna fight for the Champions Legue in the following season. You don´t get an offer like this every day and I appreciate it,“ Hromada expresses his feelings about the new team. „Viktoria have a lot of excellent footballers in the midfield and I know every training or a match can push me forward. I´m coming with respect and craving to fight for my chance here.“

The 20-years-old midfielder is a native of Košice from where he moved to Michalovce at the age of 15. When he was 16, he played the first match in the highest Slovakian league. In 2012 he left for Italian Juventus where he joined the youth academy. After being on loan in FC Genova Hromada transferred to UC Sampdoria and then he was sent on loan to 2nd league team Pro Vercelli. In summer 2015 he returned to the Slovakian 1st league and played for Senice.
