The fifth pre-season friendly match was played between Viktoria Plzeň and Baník Sokolov and Viktoria won 2:0. The lawn was very hard and wet and the goals were scored by the centre back Adam Čihák and the forward Michael Krmenčík.

The match between Viktoria and Sokolov was significantly influenced by the weather; on 20 minutes of the game it got cloudy and because of heavy downpour both teams had to go to the dressing rooms for 15 minutes. After that the half-time continued under heavy rain and the lawn was waterlogged. In spite of the bad weather conditions Viktoria quickly got in lead. On 34 minutes Jan Kopic kicked a corner and the young back Adam Čihák scored.

The coach Roman Pivarník made several changes for the 2nd half and the fans were waiting for the second goal until 72 minutes when Michael Krmenčík scored. Viktoria made many promising chances but the score did not change until the end of the match.

The last pre-season friendly match is on programe on Wednesday 6th July and Viktoria welcomes Ústí nad Labem at 16:30 p.m. The team will travel to Austrian Westendorf the weekend after.
