The weather was rainy, however, the quality of the game did not suffer from that. Viktoria tried to possess the ball, patiently combine and then move forward to offense. On 25 minutes Jan Kopic scored a goal and opened the score of the match. Soon after that Michael Krmenčík had an effort on goal and Viktoria also had several free kicks and corners. Düsseldorf also appeared in a great chance and Bolek became very busy.

In the 2nd half puddles started to complicate the game to both teams. Viktorians were forced to make their game easier and did not get in bigger chances. Düsseldorf had several quick counter-attacks and Bolek saved their chances with the help of the defence. When it seemed Viktoria would save their one-goal leading, Düsseldorf scored! In the last minute of the match they had a corner. The goalkeeper Unnerstall participated in the game in the 6-yard box and it was him who changed the score to 1:1!

Viktoria Plzeň drew with Fortuna Düsseldorf 1:1.
