FC Viktoria Plzeň won the 11th-round match of ePojisteni.cz League and in front of their fans Sparta Praha 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored by the forward Michael Krmenčík who linked his performance to the spring one when he scored two goals to Sparta.
„I´m so glad we won and the fact I scored is even better, of course. I was excited I could join the game right from the very beginning and I repaid the coach by a goal,“ the forward Michael Krmenčík says.
The captain Roman Hubník only praised his teammate. „I hope it´ll last and he´ll score more goals, in spring against Sparta as well. Today we played with one classic forward and Krmenčík had only one chance and he scored. I´m glad he made it,“ the centre back says. „I rather had more defensive tasks today but it emerged that Milan Petržela passed the ball to me and I had no other chance than to cross it. Luckily, Michael was there,“ the Viktorian adds.
Plzeň beat Sparta for the fifth time in a row and currently they have for 7 points more in front of Sparta. „These 3 points are very important. This match was not the big one only for us but for the whole Plzeň,“ Hubník thinks. „We´re happy we prolonged this winning streak for 5 matches. It´s unique in the Czech Republic,“ Limberský says.
Viktoria reached Mladá Boleslav in the standings and loses the only point. „The league is really even this season. There are Boleslav, Slavia and others. It´s not worth to discuss if 7 points for Sparta is too much or little. We have to focus on us and go match by match,“ Michael Krmenčík closes.
