Viktoria Plzeň played the home match against Karviná. This team from the end of the standings tasted spring defeat only in the 24th round against Slavia Praha.

On 2 minutes of the match Karviná´s captain Janeček stopped the first offensive action when rebounding Zeman´s passed ball to Bakoš. Viktorians were very active from the beginning, which they proved on 18 minutes. Čermák run close to Le Giang´s gate and several minutes later, nevertheless, Lingr helped the goalkeeper and defended well. On 30 minutes of the game Aleš Čermák crossed the ball to Marek Bakoš whose shot was rebounded off by Le Giang. On 39 minutes Čermák passed the ball to Tomáš Hořava who appeared in a promising position and he scored – 1-0! This was also the half-time result.

The start of the 2nd half was in Viktoria´s hands. Čermák, Zeman and Hořava all had an effort on goal and their attempts were promising but none of them succeeded in scoring. On 55 minutes the coach Vrba made the first substitution. Marek Bakoš was replaced by Tomáš Chorý. Viktoria´s pressure continued in the 2nd half, too. Karviná hardly got a chance to cross the midfield and attack the home team. About 78 minutes they settled in their offensive phase but they lacked an accuracy, such as Panák´s header off the goal. 8 minutes before the end Martin Zeman left the pitch and Milan Petržela went on the pitch. Several moments later Plzeň threatened from a corner but Chorý´s shot missed the target. In the extra time Milan Petržela passed the ball to Tomáš Chorý who was said to be in off-side position. Karviná´s defensive line froze and Tomáš Hořava took an advantage of that – he run towards the ball and scored!

Viktoria beat Karviná 2-0.
