Break for national teams matches did not mean any change for Viktoria. Under freezing weather when Gamrinus League stopped being played for a week Viktoria met Hradec Králové in the rematch of the 4th round of the Czech Cup Česká pošta. In the first match Hradec beat Viktoria 2:1 so Pavel Vrba´s team wanted and also had to win.

Under freezing weather when Gamrinus League stopped being played for a week Viktoria met Hradec Králové in the rematch of the 4th round of the Czech Cup Česká pošta. In the first match Hradec beat Viktoria 2:1 so Pavel Vrba´s team wanted and also had to win.

Viktoria entered the match in a completely different lineup than in the first match in autumn. 8 players left the team because of the national team duties so Plzeň´s youth players got chance to shine. In the 4th minute Petr Schwarz from Hradec tried his fortune and shot from 25 metres. Aleš Mandous who experienced his premiere for Viktoria did not have to catch the ball because Schwarz missed. The next attempt came 20 minutes later from the same player but he missed even this time. On 30 minutes Roman Adamov had a chance to score when he headed the ball after Adam Beránek´s centre pass but he did not. 5 minutes later this cooperation worked better. Roman Adamov got Beránek´s pass and scored 1:0 for Viktoria! On 41 minutes Martin Zeman leant on bounced ball and sent it to Jiří Lindner who parried the ball to the corner kick.

On 54 minutes Viktoria showed a very attractive action. Martin Zeman exchanged the ball with Roman Adamov, quickly flew through the guest half of the pitch and sent an excellent centre pass to Martin Fillo. The midfielder of Viktoria did not hit the ball as he wanted so Viktoria´s leading stayed unchanged. In the following minutes there were dangerous balls flying to the penalty area of Viktoria and Hradec, too, but there was no bigger chance to score. In the 74th minute Haris Harba shot to Viktoria´s goal from 30 metres. His shot did not miss hardness but the direction was worse. Aleš Mandous could only watch the ball missing the goal.

Viktoria fought for the next stages of the Česká pošta Cup  supported by excellent fans. Our team will meet Jablonec in the next match.
