The stadium in Štruncovy sady is expecting a hard test on Wednesday evening. The match of the century – the match with a triple UCL champion and the most successful team in the world, Spanish Real Madrid.
Real Madrid’s delegates came for an inspection about one month ago and they carefully documented everything. Unlike other top European teams they decided to organize their pre-match press conference right at the stadium.
About 10 days ahead Viktoria received a list of
required things in terms of the dressing rooms and trainings. “It‘s a standard that is common for the biggest clubs. We
care about every detail and, of course, everything is planned in bigger amount.
So, for example, we prepared 6 massage beds or two exercise bikes to the
dressing rooms. Our opponent also asks for ice for regeneration and plenty of
varied fruits,“ the PR Václav Hanzlík reveals background of this extraordinary
match.
Every move of the team such as Real Madrid is sharply
watched. “Real will stay here for two days, they will land on
Tuesday and fly back home right after the match. Concerning the delegates,
assisstants or media agents everything will be in bigger numbers here. For
example, flash interviews positions will be owned by 7 televisions. We had to
empty one more office for that where panels for 3 televisions will be placed,“
Hanzlík adds.
The match of Viktoria against the Spanish giant will
be watched by nearly the whole world. “The game against Real
Madrid will be broadcasted by almost the whole South America so the fans in
Brazil or Argentina will watch it, too. The match will also be broadcasted in
North America as well,“ Václav Hanzlík uncovers.
Such a significant interest in general public also
reflects an above-average attention of not only domestic media. „For this match
we register about 200 accredited journalists from all over Europe, e.g.
Germany, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Slovenia or Italy. There‘ve never been so many journalists at the Doosan Arena before,“ the Viktoria’s PR agent says.
The activity of the club’s TV of Real Madrid is very interesting, too. “TV delegates will also live broadcast the pre-match training. There will
come 11 people including the expert and club’s legend Roberto Carlos,“ Hanzlík adds.
The stadium is, as traditionally for UCL matches,
removed from all adverts and on Monday morning it started to be covered to the
colours of the most prestigious league of the world. „On Wednesday afternoon we
all will hear the Champions League anthem. At the time everything will run for
100%,“ Hanzlík closes.
