Viktoria Plzeň captain Lukáš Hejda extended his contract with the club until the summer of 2025.

He brings his teammates onto the field with the captain´s armband, he´s in charge of the booth. He has won a total of five championship titles with Viktorka and has played in the UEFA Champions League three times. Now Lukáš Hejda has linked his name with our club for another year by extending his contract.

"I am at home in Viktorka, it has grown close to my heart. I would like to thank the management of the club, we agreed on everything very quickly and absolutely fair for both sides. I am glad that my future is connected with Viktorka," said the captain after signing the contract. "On Saturday we start the spring part of the season and I am looking forward to the fierce matches. Playing in front of our fans is something special, it gives me strength and constantly drives me forward. We have a lot of challenges ahead of us, we have the league, the cup, the European Conference League eight finals. I feel a great desire from our team to fight for each of them and I feel the same way," added Lukáš Hejda.

"The extension of our captain´s contract is important news for us. Lukáš is one of the most experienced players in the team, he can manage it on the field and in the locker room, and he is also a partner for discussions with coaches or management. Moreover, his experience is also used by his younger teammates, his contribution to the whole club is huge," said Daniel Kolář, the sport director.
