Midfielder Ibrahim Traoré transfers to FC Viktoria Plzeň, as he signed a one-year deal.

The midfielder from the Ivory Coast already took part in Viktoria’s practice sessions, he underwent the Monday’s physical and functional tests. Therefore, he is already under the wings of the new coach Miroslav Koubek and he also played the second half of the game during the project “Kopeme za fotbal” by Gambrinus. Both his former club and Viktoria have reached an agreement, so Ibrahim Traoré moves from Slavia to Viktoria, where he signed a one-year contract.

 

“He’s a high-quality player with huge experience both in the Czech league and in the European cups. Our head coach cared for his arrival a lot, so we are glad it was possible to find common ground among all the interested parties very quickly. We gladly and officially welcome Ibrahim Traoré to our team,” stated the Viktoria sports director Daniel Kolář.

 

“He is a versatile midfielder who feels and perceives the game very well. We can use him both in offense and in defense. He is a hard worker and if he is healthy and well prepared, he will be a useful asset. The pre-season tests have confirmed his good health already,” said the Viktoria head coach Miroslav Koubek.

 

“When there was a chance to transfer to Viktoria, I didn’t hesitate and agreed immediately. It’s a big club with nothing but high ambitions. We will play in the European Cups and I have a lot of motivation to do my best and secure a spot in the team,” said Ibrahim Traoré after signing a one-year deal.

 

Ibrahim Traoré played in Táborsko and Zlín, then he joined Slavia Prague and played there for five years. He won the league three times and the Czech cup four times. He played a total of 159 games in the Czech league and another 58 in the European Cups in the Slavia and Zlín colors.
