At the pre-match press conference, head coach Miroslav Koubek answered questions from journalists, which we are now bringing to you.
Coach,
is the home draw a setback in the way of promotion?
We are
aware that after a solid game performance and a shooting hesitation we have
complicated the situation. We can expect the home team to be even more
motivated. We are facing a very unpleasant opponent, but we have the quality
and the high playing ability to handle the match.
Can the
experience gained in the Champions League last year be a big advantage?
We have a
number of experienced players in the team who have been through European Cups
even in these more climatically demanding destinations. It is good that we have
such players in the squad. On the other hand, Drita players have similar
experience. They are playing the European Conference League qualifiers for the
fourth year in a row. They´re no rabbits.
What´s
the plan going into the game?
Success in
football always comes through active play. From a tactical point of view, we
need to keep things balanced. We want to be attacking, active, on the ball with
the aim of outplaying the opponent. I believe we can increase our productivity
and beat our opponents. However, with the home draw we have complicated the
situation.
We´re
worried about scoring goals. Are you and your colleagues dealing with this
problem?
We´re
discussing the situation both in practice and on the video. We talk about
details, we talk about generalities. We know where the problem is. Choice of
space, more aggressiveness, accuracy, calming down, more one-on-one and
shooting from the second wave. The recipes are known, general, but we are worse
at these things now than we would like.
We will face
a very stormy atmosphere at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium.
We know
it´s going to be a stormy environment. We expect it, but it´s always a good
environment to play in.
Are all
the players 100 % ready to play?
The health
of our players is good. We are absolutely fine. One player had a small problem
after the game against Drita, but he is also completely fit.
Do you
have any question marks in the line-up?
As far as the line-up is concerned, we are almost clear. Maybe there is one small question mark in the air, but we will solve it on the day of the game.
