Viktoria´s first opponent at the Austrian training camp was Botoşani from Romania. Both goals were scored by forward Matěj Vydra. In both cases he scored during the first half.
In the sixth minute Matěj Vydra found Amar Memić with his centre from the left side. However, he was unable to score in the face of the Romanian goalkeeper. Matej Vydra opened the scoring in the 16th minute. The Victorians first took advantage of a kicked ball and a subsequent mistake by defender Botoşani. Despite the efforts of the opponent´s defence, Viktoria finally broke through.
The Plzeň striker with the number eleven on his back was really in the mood today. Jan Kopic sent a shot from the left side, which was met by Matěj Vydra. He crossed the ball from close range and sent it into the net. A little before the end of the half Pilsen made their third goal, but in the end the goal was disallowed. Viktoria went into the cabins with a two-goal lead.
At half-time coach Koubek rotated the line-up and prepared seven substitutions. In the second act, the team waited for a big opportunity until the sixty-eighth minute. Adrian Zeljkovic shot from the edge of the penalty area. The opposing goalkeeper was against it, and he deflected the shot for a corner kick.
In the end, no more goals were scored and Viktoria defeated Botoşani 2-0. The next match will be played tomorrow. At 15:30 we will face Osnabrück from Germany.
