Viktoria Plzeň announces a new signing at the end of the transfer window. On Thursday evening, forward Idjessi Metsoko, who comes from Vyškov, signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at the Doosan Arena.

"He is a typologically very interesting player and I am glad that everything was finalized before the end of the transfer deadline and we can welcome Idjessi Metsoka to our club," said Daniel Kolář, the club´s sport director.

"We believe that he will acclimatize very quickly in our team also thanks to the fact that he will meet his former teammate from Vyškov Cheick Souare in the cabin. He was excellent in Vyškov and now he should follow it up in our jersey," added Daniel Kolář.

"I was very pleased with Viktoria´s offer and I didn´t hesitate. I´m going to a big club that regularly plays European cups and has the highest ambitions. It´s another step in my career and a huge challenge," said the 21-year-old forward, who will wear the number 93 on his Viktoria jersey and should be available to the coaches for Saturday´s league game against Zlín.

Idjessi Metsoko came through the youth teams of French club Auxerre, then moved to second-league Vyškov at the start of this season. He scored nine goals and four assists in sixteen games, and was twice among the scorers in the MOL Cup. Now he will wear the Viktoria jersey.

Idjessi, welcome to Viktorka!
