The goalkeeping team of Viktoria Plzeň announces new reinforcements. Twenty-three-year-old Austrian goalkeeper Florian Wiegele, who comes from Leoben.
The young goalkeeper played for Sturm Graz in the youth teams and last played for DSV Leoben in the Austrian Bundesliga. His next engagement will be at the DOOSAN Arena in Pilsen, where he signed a three-year contract.
"He is a young goalkeeper with excellent parameters whom we have been watching. Now he will expand our goalkeeping team and we believe that he will quickly acclimatize to the new environment and will be an asset," said Viktoria´s sport director Daniel Kolář.
"I was very surprised by Viktoria´s interest and very positive. "Of course I know the club, I watched them in the cups, for example I saw the quarter-final match with Fiorentina on TV. And at that time I never dreamed that I would be standing here so soon. It´s a huge challenge for me and I´m looking forward to it," added Florian Wiegele, who stands at a remarkable 205 centimetres.
