In the 15th minute, Matěj Vydra and Cadu exchanged the ball well on the left side of the pitch, but Ramírez prevented the final finish. Five minutes later, captain Lukáš Kalvach tested the attention of the opposing goalkeeper when he fired a fierce shot straight at the goal from outside the box. His attempt, however, went straight into the area where the goalkeeper was ready.

In the 27th minute, Viktoria played a corner kick that found Sampson Dweh in the whitewash, but Dávid Gróf refused to let the ball go behind his back. Rafiu Durosinmi got to the finish and sent the ball into the net, erasing the deficit from the first match. The Hungarian opponent hadn´t even had time to recover and had to fish the ball out of the net again. This time, Pavel Šulc made his mark on the scorers´ list with a beautiful shot that cleared the cobwebs in the net.

At the end of the first half, the Victorians increased their lead. Rafiu Durosinmi scored for the second time in the match, continuing his scoring form from the weekend match against Teplice. The players went into the booths with a 3:0 scoreline.

The start of the second half was in the same vein as the opening half. The game was played mostly in the opponent´s half. In the 54th minute, coach Miroslav Koubek decided to make the first change in the lineup, with two-goal scorer Rafiu Durosinmi leaving the field and being replaced by Prince Adu.

In the 66th minute, the fans saw a nice combination between Adu, Cervo and Cadu, with the latter finishing on Gróf´s goal. Towards the end of the match, the opponent stepped up in personal duels and the referee had to stop the game frequently due to fouls. At the very end, Prince Adu could have adjusted the result when he ran at the goalkeeper alone, but unfortunately missed the goal.Viktoria Plzeň defeated Ferencváros 3-0 and advanced to the Europa League eighth round.
