Viktoria Plzeň played against the second team from Prague, Slavia, in the 2nd round of the playoffs. The match ended with the home team winning 4:3. Pavel Šulc, Matěj Vydra and Amar Memić scored for Viktoria.

The opening of the match indicated that it would be a European level match. Both teams were on the offensive from the start and the spectators could see many dangerous actions that could have led to the first goal. Unfortunately, the home team was the first to score when Schranz opened the scoring.

But the Victorians didn´t hesitate long to respond. In the 14th minute a penalty was awarded after a handball in the penalty area, which was converted with icy calmness by Pavel Šulc. The equalising goal gave the Victorians new energy and they started to outplay Slavia. Their pressure soon bore fruit. After Pavel Šulc´s centre, Matěj Vydra headed home and sent Viktoria into a 2-1 lead.

The game then picked up even more pace, with action following action. Prince Adu got a big chance, running alone at the goalkeeper, but Markovic defused his attempt. Viktor Baier also did well, making a series of great saves at the end of the first half, and Viktoria went into the locker room with a 2-1 lead.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first. This time Viktoria started better. In the 55th minute, Amar Memic got to a deflected ball and sent it right between the three posts. He scored his second goal in two games, again against Prague S.

But just two minutes later, the score changed again. Zafeiris reduced the score to 3:2 for the home team. In the 64th minute, Matěj Vydra rushed alone at the goal after a defensive mistake. He decided to lob a running Markovic, but his shot went over the bar. Unfortunately, three minutes later, the home team equalised and in the 74th minute, the home team came through again and turned the score to 4:3.

Victorians tried to reverse the result. Pavel Šulc had a great opportunity again, but his shot went too high. At the very end, Šulc ran down the right wing and tried to pass to a free Daniel Vasulin, who was able to finish into an empty net. However, his intention was thwarted at the last moment by the onrushing Holeš. The match ended with Slavia winning 4:3.
