Midfielder Lukáš Červ signed a new contract with Viktoria Plzeň today at Doosan Arena. He will therefore continue to wear the beautiful red-and-blue jersey until at least 2029.
He first donned the jersey two years ago. Since then, he has established himself as a pillar of the team and one of the dressing room leaders, proudly wearing the captain’s armband in Matěj Vydra’s absence. His performances have earned him a permanent spot on the Czech national team, with which he secured a spot in the World Cup for the first time in twenty years.
And, of course, he is among the players who, through his performances and dedication in every match, has earned the deep respect of Viktoria fans. Lukáš Červ has now reaffirmed his loyalty to the red-and-blue colors by signing a new contract valid through 2029.
“Thanks to his performances on both the domestic and European stages, Lukáš quickly established himself as a key figure on our team after his arrival. Logically, therefore, our goal was to agree on a contract extension. I am certain that he will remain one of our key players in the coming seasons, not only on the field but also in the locker room,” said the club’s sporting director, Martin Vozábal.

“I’ve been at Viktoria for two years, and during that time I’ve experienced some truly wonderful moments here, both on and off the field. Amazing Europa League matches, big league battles, or even the birth of my daughter. These are all moments that have left a lasting impression on my heart,” said Lukáš Červ.
“I appreciate everyone at the club who lives and breathes for it, all our fans, and the entire city, where my family and I feel at home and love being here. I hope that on our journey together, we’ll write more great—and above all, successful—stories,” he added after signing his new contract.
Lukáš Červ has played a total of 119 matches for Viktoria Plzeň, including 34 appearances in European cup competitions. He has scored a total of 8 goals and recorded 12 assists.
