Ahead of the start of summer training, Viktoria Plzeň has announced another new signing. The new addition is 23-year-old midfielder Stefan Pirgić, who joins from FK Zeleznicar Pancevo and has signed a four-year contract at Doosan Arena.
Twenty-three-year-old Stefan Pirgić came up through the Crvena Zvezda youth academy; after playing in the lower leagues, he managed to break into Serbia’s top division and, while playing for Zeleznicar Pancevo, emerged as one of the league’s standout players. Last season, he recorded four goals and three assists. He is now transferring to Viktoria Plzeň, where he has signed a four-year contract.
“He is a young midfielder capable of playing as a classic number six or even a number eight. He impressed us with his tenacity, speed, and ball-handling skills. We believe that in our jersey, he will build on his strong performances and take his game to the next level,” said the club’s sporting director, Martin Vozábal, regarding the new signing.

“I know Viktoria very well; it’s a big and ambitious club. It was precisely that ambition and desire for success that led me to take this step,” said the Serbian midfielder after signing the contract.
“I’m glad that everything was settled very quickly and that I can join right at the start of summer training. I want to show what I’m capable of and be as big a help to the team as possible,” added Stefan Pirgić.
The clubs have decided not to disclose the transfer fee.
