Attendance:

The Victorians played their first pre-season match at the training camp in Westendorf. Against Danish side Copenhagen, they took the lead through Cheick Souaré, but the visitors equalised after the break.

The Danish side took the kick-off in today's friendly match. In the 2nd minute, Sampson Dweh was unable to play the ball out cleanly, but Copenhagen failed to take advantage of the situation. Two minutes later, Boháč was called into action for the first time in defence, but his challenge resulted in a yellow card. Copenhagen were awarded a free kick in a dangerous position, but Ťapaj was not required to make a save as the effort missed the target.

Viktoria created their first chance in the 8th minute. Kabongo won possession, drove towards the penalty area and squared the ball to Cheick Souaré, who opened the scoring. The game then settled down for a while. After a foul in the 14th minute, Viktoria had a free kick opportunity, but Ladra's effort struck the wall. Two minutes later, Boháč found space on the right flank, but his cross was deflected behind for a throw-in.

Kabongo was involved again at the start of the 29th minute as he pressed Copenhagen's goalkeeper, won the ball back and tested the keeper with a long-range effort, which was pushed away. In the 35th minute, Copenhagen threatened from a dangerous corner kick. Following a powerful header, Boháč twice threw himself in front of goal-bound efforts to keep the visitors out. A minute later, Ťapaj produced an excellent save to deny a low shot. In the 39th minute, Hrošovský delivered a dangerous cross that travelled through the six-yard box, but a Copenhagen defender cleared the danger. At the other end, Ťapaj was called into action once more and brilliantly tipped a shot destined for the top corner behind for a corner kick. Before half-time he added another fine save, keeping out a powerful effort heading towards the post. Viktoria therefore went into the break with a one-goal advantage.

In the 49th minute, Faal found himself in a promising position after a pass from Souaré, but the goalkeeper reacted quickly and gathered the ball. Copenhagen equalised a minute later when Souaré received a difficult pass on the edge of the box, lost possession and the Danish side punished the mistake. Five minutes later, Hrošovský tried his luck from distance, but his effort failed to trouble the goalkeeper. At the other end, Ťapaj once again showed his quality by pushing away a shot from inside the area.

Viktoria thought they had restored their lead in the 60th minute when Faal headed home from Hrošovský's cross. However, the celebrations were cut short as the assistant referee raised his flag for offside. Several substitutions followed on the Plzeň side and many of the younger players were given an opportunity. In the 65th minute, Valenta broke through one-on-one with the goalkeeper but failed to hit the target. For much of the remainder of the match, play flowed from end to end without either side creating a clear opportunity. That changed in the 76th minute when Copenhagen threatened, but Viktoria's defence remained alert and dealt with the danger. In the 88th minute, Chalupa delivered an excellent cross to Valenta, who unselfishly squared the ball to Faal in front of an open goal, but the striker was unable to convert. There were no further chances of note and the friendly encounter with Copenhagen ended in a draw.
