Viktoria claimed a 4–0 away win over Baník Ostrava in Round 13 of the Chance Liga. After a goalless first half, Adam Gabriel scored twice, with Lukáš Červ and Tomáš Ladra also finding the net. Amar Memić provided the assists for the first three goals.
Viktoria kicked off the Round 13 Chance Liga match. In the third minute, Sojka set up Memić, who sent his effort narrowly wide. Baník threatened towards the end of the fifth minute when Kohút took a shot, but Pališčák threw himself in its path to block it behind for a corner. Memić had another attempt in the ninth minute, but from a tight angle he could only find Jedlička, who was well positioned at his near post. Baník tried to break through the Plzeň defence, but none of their moves seriously threatened the goal.
In the 19th minute, Frydrych headed wide from a set piece. Six minutes later, Dweh looked to get his head to a corner, but Frydrych cleared the ball behind before he could connect. Adu then headed narrowly wide from the resulting corner.
In the 35th minute, Gabriel rattled the crossbar. Moments later, Boula fouled Červ, giving Viktoria a free kick in a promising position. Sojka’s effort hit the wall, and Jedlička then had to deal with Hrošovský’s follow-up volley. Sojka forced the home goalkeeper into another save shortly afterwards, with Jedlička pushing his shot behind for a corner.
In the 43rd minute, Memić initially passed up the chance to shoot before laying the ball off to Adu. However, the alert Jedlička was equal to his effort as well. There were no further incidents before the break, and the teams went into the dressing rooms with the score goalless.
Baník threatened early in the second half when Kohút shot wide from the edge of the box. At the other end, Viktoria broke the deadlock in the 48th minute. Memić found himself in a promising position before passing to Gabriel, who opened the scoring. VAR checked the move for a possible offside, but the goal stood and Plzeň took the lead.
Adam Gabriel scored his second in the 56th minute, once again from a Memić pass. Viktoria then struck again almost immediately after the restart. In the 57th minute, Červ finished off another Memić assist with a shot that Jedlička was unable to keep out. Gabriel thought he had completed his hat-trick in the 67th minute, but his goal was ruled out following a review for handball by Kabongo. At the other end, Dweh blocked several crosses to prevent Baník from creating a dangerous opening.
Tomáš Ladra added the fourth goal in the 80th minute. Pališčák’s cross found him completely unmarked in the box, and he made the most of the opportunity. Baník were unable to respond and did not register their first shot on target until stoppage time. Plzeň saw out the closing stages comfortably and left Ostrava with all three points following a 4–0 victory.
