Viktoria Plzeň faced Jablonec in the 16th round. The match offered a flurry of goals, and after a final score of 3:3, both teams shared the points. Merchas Doski, Matěj Valenta, and Cheick Souaré scored for Viktoria.

After the international break, Viktoria traveled to Jablonec in northern Bohemia, where they were greeted by winter weather. The pitch was frozen and very difficult to play on for both teams. Plzeň started the match actively and their pressure paid off when Merchas Doski scored with a header in the 5th minute. It was the Iraqi international's first competitive goal in a red and blue jersey. Plzeň did not let up and added a second goal five minutes later. Matěj Valenta imitated Doski when, unmarked after a corner kick, he headed the ball into the net.

As time went on, Jablonec began to get into the game. In the 20th minute, they first reduced the deficit to 2-1, and three minutes later, the score was level. The pace of the game did not change after the equalizer, and another goal was in the air. Amar Memić came close to scoring again when he tried to shoot past the goalkeeper from an angle, as did Tomáš Ladra, who sent a hard shot from a distance. However, neither attempt ended up in the net, so the players went into the locker rooms with the score at 2-2.

The second half was similar to the first. It was full of personal duels and scoring opportunities. The turning point came in the 60th minute when the home team Jablonec took the lead for the first time in the match. However, they did not enjoy this goal for long, as Viktoria's response came almost immediately. Matěj Valenta stole the ball from the full-back and passed it to Cheick Souaré. He rushed into the box from the right side and, despite being tackled by the home players, managed to finish. He sent the ball between the goalkeeper's legs, and it crossed the goal line with the help of the post.

As the end of the match approached, Plzeň began to pick up the pace and Jablonec relied more on counterattacks. Viktoria threatened mainly with long balls into the box, from which they created chances. Milan Havel had a great opportunity to score the decisive goal, but goalkeeper Hanuš saved his attempt. No further goals were scored, so the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
