Viktoria’s players were unable to build on their previous performances away at Zlín and return home without a point. The hosts were clinical in front of goal and decided the match in the second half.

The home side kicked off Sunday’s match and were also the first to create a major chance. They won a corner and from the resulting set piece took the lead as early as the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, there was an unpleasant moment when Červ chased a cross into the box and collided with the home goalkeeper. Fortunately, both players were able to continue without injury. The hosts remained active and created further opportunities, although none resulted in a clear threat on goal. Viktoria responded in the 21st minute when Lawal headed just wide following a set piece. A few minutes later, Slončík delivered a cross from the wing. Sojka found the ball at the far post, but his effort lacked precision and went wide. In the 29th minute, Adu tried his luck from distance, but his shot missed the target. In the 35th minute, Lawal got on the end of another corner with a header, but the home goalkeeper was well positioned at the post and made the save. Four minutes later, after Červ lost possession, the hosts found themselves in a promising shooting position, but Krčík managed to deflect the attempt away from danger. In stoppage time of the first half, Adu managed to break free, yet his finish was not accurate enough. The teams went into the break with the home side holding a narrow lead.

The visitors started the second half more actively. Hrošovský found himself in a shooting position, but his effort ended in the goalkeeper’s arms. Viktoria, however, struggled to break down the hosts’ deep defensive block. In the 57th minute, Memić combined well with Valenta before attempting a cross, but the ball travelled across the penalty area without creating further danger. Shortly afterwards, Adu had another attempt, yet once again he was unable to beat the home goalkeeper. In the 69th minute, Ladra found space in the box but fired over the bar. The hosts, on the other hand, made the most of their chance. In the 71st minute, Cupák cut inside past Kadlec and curled a left footed shot into the top corner. Nine minutes later, the home side added a third goal to seal the result. Viktoria were unable to find a way past the well organised defence and leave Zlín without a point.
