Viktoria Plzeň won their friendly match against FC Lugano 4:2. The match was marked by the return of Patrik Hrošovský, who took to the field wearing the captain´s armband. Daniel Vašulín, Adam Kadlec, Alexandr Sojka, and Christophe Kabongo scored for Plzeň.

Patrik Hrošovský joined the game as a reinforcement and led the team wearing the captain's armband. In the third minute, Hrošovský sent a cross into the box, Daniel Vašulín tried to finish, but his attempt lacked the necessary power. Viktoria was active in attacking, which caused problems for Lugano in their play, and controlled the game for most of the time.

Milan Havel crossed from the right, but Jiří Panoš was unable to get a shot off. In the 15th minute, Hrošovský fired a shot from distance, but his attempt was blocked. Panoš got to the rebound and beat the defender with a nice dribble, but he was unable to finish. In the 18th minute, the opponent threatened, but Karel Spáčil made an excellent save. Two minutes later, Lugano scored, but the goal was disallowed due to offside.

In the 23rd minute, Daniel Vašulín scored unmarked after a corner kick. Viktoria had other chances as well. After some nice combinations between Panoš and Višinský, Višinský and Souaré got shots off, but the opposing goalkeeper made the saves. In the 42nd minute, Vašulín was also unsuccessful after another successful action. Lugano could have equalized just before the break when their shot hit the post of Wiegelo's goal.

Viktoria started the second half poorly and the opponent equalized in the 51st minute. The game then swung from side to side and chances increased. After another corner kick, newcomer Adam Kadlec scored his first goal in a Viktoria Plzeň jersey. Marian Tvrdoň then made an important save, but Lugano still managed to equalize 2-2 with a hard shot that rebounded into the net after hitting the goalkeeper.

New player Dominik Ťapaj also entered the goal for the final 45 minutes, making his debut in a Viktoria jersey. He immediately made an excellent save against an opponent's breakaway! Alexander Sojka increased the score with a beautiful low shot to the post, and a few minutes later Christophe Kabongo added a fourth goal with a shot from the edge of the penalty area into the top corner. Viktoria thus defeated Lugano 4-2.
