A new Austrian-Swiss business group based in Austria is entering FC Viktoria Plzeň. The current general manager Adolf Šádek will remain in the club’s management and will cooperate with the new members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board. The new members have extensive experience working with European clubs, such as Rapid Vienna or FC Basel.

Following several months of intensive negotiations, new majority owners are coming to FC Viktoria Plzeň. “The new majority owner of the club will be FCVP GmbH with its seat in Austria. It is represented by very ambitious people with extensive experience in European football. I am glad that the whole process has been successfully concluded before the start of the new season,” the club’s general manager Adolf Šádek said.

"My long-term goal was to find partners who would provide the club with the financial stability, have high ambitions, motivation and a desire to work conceptually and move our club forward. In addition, these partners are from Western Europe and come with a long-term vision. Therefore, I am glad that everything has now been concluded and I can share this information with all our fans and partners," Adolf Šádek added.

Adolf Šádek will remain in the position of general manager of the club and will also retain a minority ownership stake. The representatives of the new majority owners will be represented on the board of directors and the supervisory board.

In addition to Adolf Šádek (Chairman of the Board), Martin Dellenbach and Raphael Landthaler will also become members the company’s Board of Directors.

Raphael Landthaler (48) is an Austrian entrepreneur and football official who had previously worked as Director of Finance and Development at Rapid Vienna, was on the board of the Austrian Bundesliga and a member of the ECA Executive Committee. The young talented players have a great opportunity to make an international career through academies and cooperation with professional teams,” Martin Dellenbach explained. “That is exactly our philosophy,” he added.

“We are pleased to have become part of a club with a rich history and great successes on the domestic and European stages. Together with the current team around Adolf Šádek, we will have a common goal to further develop the club. Our strategy is based on a stable economic foundation and the development of young talented players,” Raphael Landthaler explained.

Martin Bruckner will be the chairman of the Supervisory Board, Jaromír Hamouz and Christian Fuchs will be its other members.

Martin Bruckner (58) brings his vast experience from both the financial sector and the football world. He worked in the management of the Allianz Group Austria banking group. From 2019 to 2022, he was the president of Rapid Vienna and most recently worked on the supervisory board of the Austrian Bundesliga.

“We have extensive experience in the football sector, which we want to use for the benefit of Viktoria Plzeň now. It is a huge challenge for us, which we accept with full respect. We are looking forward to the new season and to meeting all the partners especially general partner Doosan Škoda Power, representatives of the city of Plzeň and the Plzeň region. Given what has been built here, we have tremendous respect for them and will want to further strengthen our relationships,” Martin Bruckner said.

“The new ownership structure of the club brings for us the necessary stability and ideal conditions for further development of the club in all its areas. We are looking forward to our cooperation,” said Jaromír Hamouz, who has been with the club since 2007 and in recent years worked as the commercial and marketing director and has the club´s entire commercial section under his supervision.
