The questions were answered by assistant coach Jan Trousil and defenseman Robin Hranáč before the departure.
Coach, we´re heading to Kazakhstan for the second time. So the same program that was in Kostanay remains?
The team program remains exactly the same as in Kostanay. We will keep our time zone and work as we are used to from the first trip.
The turf at Astana Arena is artificial. Have you prepared the players for this change?
It will be a little bit complicated because we are not used to playing on such a surface. We started preparing right after the game against Sparta. Since Sunday we have been training on artificial grass. So it´s Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and official training on Wednesday before the game. Four times the boys will try the artificial turf in training and I believe that is enough.
What kind of opponent will Astana be?
They will definitely be an unpleasant opponent at home. The matches are a little bit different. They are not so offensive away, but at home they are driven by a large number of spectators. We´ll have a stormy atmosphere in Astana. They´re definitely more dangerous at home, but that´s what we´ve been preparing for. We go into every game thinking we want to win. We´re going to Astana the same way.
Robin, we have another trip east. How are you looking forward to it?
It´s a really long trip, which is not exactly pleasant. We´ve got another game coming up where we can make up for the defeat to Sparta.
Same question as for the coach. Astana has artificial turf. Will it be a big change for you? Do you have experience with artificial grass?
I have experience with artificial turf. I played a qualifying match on artificial grass in the 11th team. It´s not such a problem. The turf there will definitely be good and it could be faster.
What do you expect from the game against Astana?
I expect us to win and I believe we will bring three points to Plzeň.
