Head coach Miroslav Koubek extended his contract today and will lead Viktoria Plzeň in the new season 2025/2026.

In the week after winning the match with Sparta Prague, the club´s management had the announced meeting with coach Miroslav Koubek. It resulted in the extension of his contract for another year. Both parties agreed on cooperation for the upcoming season 2025/2026.

"Míra Koubek is doing a fantastic job. In the current season, we once again had a wonderful journey through the Europa League, where we fought until the last minute to participate in the quarter-finals. In the domestic competition, we are in contention for the second place that secures our participation in the Champions League preliminary rounds. In addition, we are succeeding in incorporating young players and moving them up. Moreover, we feel a great energy and desire from the coach to continue the established trend, so we agreed on the extension of cooperation very quickly," said Adolf Šádek, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Viktoria Plzeň.

"I feel good, I have the desire and there is no reason why we should not come to an agreement. Now we are fully focused on the end of the current season, where our goal is to stay in second place in the league table. After that, we will rest for a few days and then we will start the upcoming season, which will be full of challenges," said Miroslav Koubek after signing the new contract.

"We appreciate Miroslav Koubek´s work very much. His attitude and approach are in line with our vision. He makes us all very happy that the club´s brand is very visible not only on the Czech but also on the European football map. We look forward to further cooperation," concluded Martin Dellenbach, member of the board of directors and one of the co-owners of the club.
