Midfielder Matěj Valenta is leaving Viktoria Plzeň and moving to Hradec Králové.

Twenty-six-year-old midfielder Matěj Valenta joined Doosan Arena three years ago from Slavia Prague. He made a total of 50 appearances in the red-and-blue shirt, scoring two goals. He also featured in European competitions. He is now leaving Viktoria to join Hradec Králové.

“Matěj Valenta is undoubtedly a quality player, but partly due to injury, he was unable to establish himself as a regular in our starting line-up. He is at a good age for football and has the ambition to play regularly, which we fully understand, so we have agreed on his transfer. On behalf of the whole club, I would like to thank him and wish him the best of luck in his new venture,” said the club’s sporting director, Martin Vozábal.
