Viktoria Plzeň welcomed 1. FK Příbram in the last round of the 2014/15 season. Viktoria secured winning the title in the 28th round, nevertheless, they wanted to say goodbye to their fans by a win. They finally made it and beat Příbram 5:2.

„This was a typical match of the last round. Relaxed, wild, adventurous,“ the coach Miroslav Koubek describes the match. Viktoria lost the 1st half 1:2 but they performed excellent game in the 2nd half and changed the score on their side. „The players wanted to win for their fans so I didn´t have to shout at them in the break,“ the coach says.

This win rewrote the club statistics in terms of the points after the last round of the league. In the 2010/2011 season Plzeň had 69 points and this time they gathered even for 3 points more. „I don´t want to beat history but the team wanted to beat the record and they made it. Nobody can question their champion title when they have this number of points and goals,“ Koubek adds.

Plzeň officially celebrates the third title on five years and secure their participation in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League. „Now we´ll enjoy some free time and holidays, however, we´ve got lots to de ahead. I´m looking forward to the next season right now,“ Miroslav Koubek closes.
