11 seasons, 5 league titles, participated three times in the Champions League and five times in the UEFA Europa League. 33-year-old Radim Řezník was part of all the above mentioned. And it is far from over! Long-time Pilsen player remains a member of the red and blue family! He extended his contract with Viktoria Pilsen until 2023.

Wing-back Radim Řezník remains a Viktorian! The player with number 14 on his back has extended his contract with the club for another year.

“Radim Řezník was an important part of the champions team and a prominent figure in the squad. His performance during the season paid off and he deserved to keep wearing the Viktorian colours. With his experience and approach, he can also become an important mentor for younger players,” said the club´s general director Adolf Šádek.

“Both sides were interested in extending the contract and I am glad that our agreement was very quick and clear. Radim, as well as his teammates, well deserves a vacation now and I’m looking forward to seeing him at the start of the pre-season period,” added Adolf Šádek.

“We have had a fantastic season and we achieved an incredible success. I really appreciate this title, but I have a huge desire and motivation for the next season as well. My dream and goal is to play the group stage of the European Cups with Pilsen again, preferably the Champions League of course,” said the experienced defensemen after signing his contract. 

Radim Řezník came to Pilsen in the 2011/2012 season and has won five league titles with the team. He played a total of 211 out of the 315 league matches in the Viktorian kit. Altogether, he ran into 296 competition matches and scored 15 goals. “Řízek” also played 3 national team matches. In this season, he participated in 28 games and scored four times. 

“Staying in Viktoria was a clear priority for me. I´m glad we agreed on everything. Now my family and I will enjoy our vacation and I’m already looking forward to seeing the guys again at the beginning of the pre-season period,” added the pillar of the defense lines of Viktoria Pilsen.

Viktor Kolář from his representative agency Sport Invest also commented on the transfer. “Radim has had a fantastic season. In the smoothly running Viktorian team, he made full use of his experience and football qualities. On the way to the title with Pilsen, he became one of the leaders on the field and in the locker room. He has an exceptional relationship with the club and I am glad that there was great interest in continuing of the cooperation from both sides,” said the player´s agent.
