Wednesday’s rescheduled Chance Liga Matchday 5 fixture ended goalless. Viktoria take one point home from Hradec Králové.
Viktoria kicked off Wednesday’s rescheduled Chance Liga Matchday 5 fixture. Vavro frequently looked to release Doski down the left, but the visitors were unable to create any real danger. At the other end, Darida attempted to deliver a cross into the box but could only find the blocking Červ. Hradec therefore won a corner in the sixth minute. Wiegele gathered the ball and immediately tried to release Memić, but his throw was inaccurate and went out of play. In the 12th minute, Doski lost possession near the halfway line. Slončík collected the ball, but his subsequent effort was blocked by Vavro. Three minutes later, Wiegele produced an excellent save. Trubač found himself completely unmarked inside the box, but the Viktoria goalkeeper stretched out to deny him. Hradec then pinned Viktoria back inside their own half. Following a misplaced pass by the visitors, the hosts tried their luck from almost the halfway line, but failed to hit Wiegele’s goal. Viktoria were frequently losing possession and struggling to combine effectively. Their first shot on target did not arrive until the 33rd minute. Memić aimed for the top corner, but Zadražil tipped his effort behind for a corner. A foul was given from the resulting set piece and the home goalkeeper restarted play. In the 44th minute, Slončík met Darida’s cross with a header, but Wiegele was alert. The hosts had enjoyed the better of the first half, but the teams went into the break goalless.
Denis Vavro tried his luck from long range in the 48th minute, but sent his effort well over the bar. Three minutes later, Memić beat two opponents before delivering a cross into the box. Kabongo managed to get his head to the ball, but his effort lacked the power to seriously trouble Zadražil. In the 56th minute, Slončík was allowed space to advance towards the edge of the penalty area and shoot, but Wiegele pushed his effort behind for a corner. Nine minutes later, Van Buren broke down the flank, but Dweh blocked his attempted cross into the box. Ladra sent the ball across the face of goal in the 73rd minute, but none of his teammates were there to meet it. Vlkanova threatened in the 79th minute after another misplaced Viktoria pass, with his shot striking the angle of post and crossbar. Denis Vavro was shown a red card in the 90th minute as Wednesday’s rescheduled fixture ended in a goalless draw.
