As soon as he entered the Doosan Arena, he was engulfed. And he can´t wait to take to the pitch for the first time in a Victorian jersey. ”I´m looking forward to seeing the fans, I´ll do my best for the team´s success,” says the fresh Viktoria signing.

What is it like for you to wear the Viktoria jersey?

In the last ten years, since I´ve been following the first league properly, it´s one of the biggest clubs, it´s made an awful lot of achievements. So it affected me when I walked into the reception. Then I watched from the conference room and I looked around the stadium. It´s big, it´s beautiful. It just gives me the atmosphere of a club that knows what it´s going for. And I hope we go for it together and I´m looking forward to being able to run out on the pitch.

Moreover, Doosan Arena is usually very crowded for the games...

I´m looking forward to it! When I played the last game here, which we lost, the atmosphere was great. So I´m really looking forward to meeting the Victorian fans.

Plus, we have the Conference Eight finals coming up in March. How challenging is that for you?

I´ve never played European Cups, so there is excitement. And I´m curious to see what it will be like.

Have you been snooping around for potential rivals?

I´ve been watching a little bit, actually all the way through the regular group I´ve been watching how the guys played. Hats off to them for going through the whole group without losing. I guess I wish we could have gotten a team that was playable and could have advanced even further.

Who do you know from the cabin?

I know Hrany and Cadu from Pardubice. Šulcík from the national team.

Did you ask them beforehand what it´s like here?

Not really, everything was fast, I didn´t want to let it all out before everything was closed. But Cadu and I would occasionally text each other about what was going on. Now there´ll be plenty of time for them to show me everything here and explain what and how.

How would you describe yourself, what kind of player are you?

Emotional player, I guess. I try not to let anything out on the pitch and do my best for the club, for the cabin. It´s always been based on teamwork, that´s the biggest thing for me.

You had your family here for your first day. What do they say about your involvement in Viktorka?

They´re excited! As soon as I told them that this opportunity existed, they were happy. They were just as excited as I was and they were very happy to have their picture taken with me at the stadium. My family is always behind me.

So we have ten more fans for every game?

(laughs) At least ten more.
