Last week, the Office for the Protection of Competition approved the purchase of a majority stake in FC Viktoria Plzeň by Palatua a.s., a company wholly owned by Czech entrepreneur Michal Strnad. We can now present the complete composition of the club´s board of directors and supervisory board.
"The sale process, including the transfer of shares, has been completed. We can now present the new composition of the club´s board of directors and supervisory board to fans and the public. We will provide more information at a press conference to be held at the Doosan Arena on Wednesday, November 19," said club spokesman Václav Hanzlík.
Adolf Šádek, Marek Šmrha, Viktor Legát, and Martin Dellenbach will serve on the club´s board of directors. Adolf Šádek will continue to serve as chairman of the board, and Marek Šmrha will serve as vice-chairman.
Jan Nekola will become chairman of the supervisory board, alongside David Vaněk and Jaromír Hamouz.
CLUB BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ADOLF ŠÁDEK
He has been with Viktoria Plzeň since 2008, and under his leadership, the club has won six championship titles, played more than 150 matches on the European stage, and become a renowned football brand both domestically and in Europe. He will continue to serve as chairman of the board and CEO.MAREK ŠMRHA
Marek Šmrha has been working in the field of investment and strategic corporate development for more than fifteen years. He gained experience at Penta Investments, where he worked in the betting industry as investment director and shareholder representative. He currently serves as investment director at CSG. As vice-chairman of the board of Viktoria Plzeň, he will focus primarily on strategic management and the club´s long-term financial stability.
VIKTOR LEGÁT
Viktor Legát has more than twenty years of experience in finance, strategic planning, and project management in an international environment. He has worked in the betting industry and at Groupon and PwC, where he specialized in financial management, planning, and analysis. He is now an executive advisor for projects and management at CSG. At Viktoria Plzeň, he will be primarily responsible for financial planning, reporting, and supporting the club´s effective development.
MARTIN DELLENBACH
Martin Dellenbach is an experienced Swiss businessman who has been working in the automotive industry since the 1990s. In 2023, he joined Viktoria Plzeň as one of the co-owners. He now retains a minority stake, will serve on the board of directors, and his main responsibility will continue to be talent development within the academy.
SUPERVISORY BOARD OF THE CLUB
JAN NEKOLA
Jan Nekola is a leading Czech lawyer and legal expert with many years of experience in commercial, corporate, and insolvency law. In his practice, he focuses on strategic consulting for commercial companies and investors, and has participated in a number of significant transactions and projects in the Czech Republic and abroad. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Viktoria Plzeň, he will focus on strengthening the transparent and responsible management of the club and on legal oversight of its operations and further development.
DAVID VANĚK
David Vaněk is an experienced manager with expertise in sales, marketing, and sports management. He served as CEO of one of the largest Czech betting companies, where he played a key role in developing the brand and sponsorship activities across Czech football. On the supervisory board of Viktoria Plzeň, he will be responsible for the club´s commercial and economic development.
JAROMÍR HAMOUZ
Jaromír Hamouz has been with the club since 2007. He has many years of experience in managing marketing projects in the sports environment, contributes to strengthening Viktoria Plzeň´s image as a modern and professional football club, and is also the main partner for relations and communication with UEFA and EFC. In addition to the supervisory board, the COO will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day and efficient running of the club.
