Christmas Eve is just around the corner, and Victorian fans can unwrap their red-and-blue gift. It is 26-year-old defender Dávid Krčík, who has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club.
Twenty-six-year-old defender Dávid Krčík is a product of the Slovak club Baník Prievidza. He first came to the Czech Republic via Litpovský Mikuláš, when he played for Jihlava. For the last three seasons, he has played in the top league with Karviná, from where he is now transferring to Viktoria Plzeň. He signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at the Doosan Arena.
"Dávid is a very talented center back who has developed into a prominent league personality. In addition to his defensive duties, he also has very good passing skills and the ability to participate in the team´s offense, as clearly demonstrated by the statistics. Moreover, our coach Martin Hyský knows him very well, having worked with him in Karviná. I am glad that we can welcome him to our team and I wish him every success in the red and blue jersey," said the club´s sporting director Martin Vozábal.
"I was very pleased with Viktoria´s offer and I knew right away that I wanted to accept this challenge. I felt happy and grateful to be able to join a club like Viktoria Plzeň," said Dávid Krčík after signing the contract. He will wear the number 37 on his red and blue jersey, which has accompanied him throughout his career. "I am ready to help the team and the club as much as possible so that we can be successful," concluded the defender.
Dávid, we wish you every success with us!
