For this special duel Pavel Vrba decided for the lineup who was definitely different from the one against Cluj. There appeared Milan Petržela, Tomáš Hořava, Lukáš Hejda, recovered Marek Hanousek or coming back from loan Jakub Hora or Tomáš Wágner. Matúš Kozáčik was replaced by our second goalkeeper Roman Pavlík and Marián Čišovský was the captain for this match.
Although Jablonec was more active from the very beginning in the 5th minute of the game Plzeň scored and went to leading. A Viktoria novice Tomáš Hořava sent the ball in front of the goalkeeper where Tomáš Wágner was ready. He was quicker than Mical Špit and scored 1:0 for Viktoria! 4 minutes later after the corner by Jan Kovařík Tomáš Wágner again pushed himself to the ball. This time he missed the goal. Jablonec soon tried to answer to Viktoria´s goal when Luboš Loučka or Onřej Vaněk had an effort on goal. Both of them threatened rather than Pavlík´s goal our home fans sector. On 23 minutes of the game Vaněk again appeared in front of the goal but missed again. On 33 minute Tomáš Wágner worked up another chance but was not successful. Milan Petržela fought for the ball with Daniel Rossi and sent it to the Jablonec´s goal. 3 minutes later Karel Piták appeared in a situation to score on the edge of the penalty area. Roman Pavlík did not have chance to touch the ball but the right upright helped him. 3 minutes later Jablonec had another dangerous chance but the score did not change so Viktoria was leading 1:0.
Pavel Vrba made one change in the lineup of the 2nd half-time. Marián Čišovský was substituted by Václav Procházka. In the 57th minute Roman Pavlík shined with excellent save when destroyed Jan Kopic´s shot face to face. This was followed by a corner kick and Jablonec succeed in equaling the score when Vít Beneš scored 1:1. 6 minutes later they added one more goal when Ondřej Vaněk sent the ball to Michal Hubník. Viktoria was osing 1:2 on 63 minutes. Štruncovy sady saw another great chance in the 82nd minute. After Viktoria´s corner kick Tomáš Hořava jumped up the highest but missed the goal above the upright.
In following minutes Plzeň put pressure on Jablonec, especially in the penalty area. The biggest chance was in the 88th minute when Jakub Hora hit the upright but finally Tomáš Wágner pushed the ball behind Michal Špit. The joy of Viktoria´s fans was stopped because it was offside. After that Jan Kopic added one more goal so Jablonec was leading 1:3. Viktoria immediately answered so Jeblonec won 2:3.
Viktoria did not reach the youngest Czech trophy in their more tha 100 years long history.
