Viktoria started the match with the best possible action . Michal Ďuriš scoored in the 2nd minute with the help of centre-backs. 1:0 for Viktoria. After 10 minutes of the game the visiting team started to have more of the game, too, when Djokić played with his head but Petr Bolek had no problem to catch it. After this moment Plzeň starred again when Darida centred the ball in front of the goal and Ďuriš scoored again in the 12th minute (2:0). Arkadiusz Piech didn´t want to let the result like this and shot the ball against the home goalkeeper Petr Bolek but wasn´t successful. Chorzów immediately took the direction of the game, nevertheless, their attempts were rather platonic. Viktoria was more productive - in 28th minute Michal Ďuriš reached his first Europa League hattrick! (3:0) Tehre were some shots on the home goal when Marek Zieńczuk or Piech tried to score but with no result.

When returning to the pitch in the sedond half-time, Michal Ďuriš was the first man to threaten the goal again but wasn´t as successful as before. A while later Marek Bakoš was happier because he managed to push the ball to the goal. after a corner kick. The score was 4:0 in the 54th minute. Vladimír Darida centred the ball to David Štípek, who substituted Martin Fillo. Michal Peškovič was ready though. There were 3 minutes left to the end of the match and Marek Hanousek was noted down to the statistics because of his goal. The final result was 5:0.
