Right from the referee's whistle, Viktoria wasted no time and Mandous had to be on his toes. The first to test him was team captain Matěj Vydra, who climbed highest in the penalty area and tested the home goalkeeper with a header. This was followed by a breakaway down the right by Denis Višinský, and Mandous had to intervene again.
The home team did not lag behind and tried to take advantage of Viktoria's inaccurate passes and quickly punish them. Boleslav also threatened from a set piece caused by a foul by Christophe Kabongo, but Martin Jedlička and his defense handled the situation and kept the score at 0-0.
In the 17th minute, the home team had a terrible five minutes, during which Viktoria managed to score two goals. Both were scored by Denis Višinský, for whom these were his first goals in a Viktoria jersey. Coincidentally, both were assisted by the same player, Bosnian midfielder Amar Memić.
Shortly before the end of the first half, the referee gave David Kozl a red card for a foul on Lukáš Červ. The home team had to finish the match with ten players.
Viktoria did not let up in the second half and, on the contrary, stepped on the gas even more. Amar Memić scored the fourth goal of the match. He beat Mandous with a powerful shot to the far post and added a goal to his two assists. Less than two minutes later, Denis Višinský stole the show again with a header to complete his hat trick. The scoring spree was completed by team captain Matěj Vydra, who made it 5-0 in the 55th minute. The score remained unchanged until the end of the match, and Viktoria took home three important points and their first clean sheet of the season from the Lokotrans Arena.
