The Victorians wasted no time and immediately put pressure on the team from Uherské Hradiště. As soon as the visitors got the ball, they were immediately attacked by the home team. After one such tackle, the referee gave Denis Višinský a yellow card in the third minute. However, Viktoria did not let up and fired shots at the goal from all possible angles, but none of their shots ended up in the net. The breakthrough came in the 23rd minute when Svetozar Marković sent a long ball behind the defense, where Prince Adu outmuscled the last defender and beat Milan Heča.
The vast majority of the game was played in the opponent's half, so Martin Jedlička, who returned between the posts after an injury, did not have to intervene much. On the other hand, Prince Adu and Denis Višinský put the most pressure on Slovácko's defense, with the latter showing a nice individual effort at the end of the half, but his shot was blocked at the last moment. The referee ended the first half with the score at 1-0 after three minutes of stoppage time.
In the second half, the visitors began to attack more, posing a threat mainly from corner kicks. However, the defense, together with Martin Jedlička, thwarted all their attempts. In the 59th minute, Miroslav Koubek decided to make his first substitution. Denis Višinský and captain Matěj Vydra left the field and were replaced by Tomáš Ladra and Rafiu Durosinmi. It was Rafiu Durosinmi who immediately had the opportunity to increase Viktoria's lead. Lukáš Červ dribbled the ball down the left side near the corner flag, first feigning a cross to let the visiting defender slide past, and then sending a cross to Rafiu Durosinmi, who headed the ball too high.
In the 77th minute, Viktoria made another substitution, with Prince Adu, who had scored the opening goal, leaving the field and Tom Slončík coming on in his place. Slončík immediately got involved in the game and created a promising situation for Rafia Durosinmi, who was running alone towards the goalkeeper, but he slipped, and so the fans had to wait for further celebrations.
As the end of the match approached, Lukáš Červ, who took over the captain's armband from Matěj Vydra, decided to take a volley inside the penalty area. Unfortunately for him, Milan Heča saved it. In the 90th minute, the referee awarded a penalty kick to the visiting team, which Michal Trávník converted. The score remained unchanged, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
