The coach Pavel Vrba made several changes in the starting line-up. For the first time he used Christián Herc from the kick-off as well as Dominik Janošek, Tomáš Chorý played as forward and Matúš Kozáčik appeared as a goalkeeper. The skipper of this match was Roman Hubník again who returned after his injury.

The home team Hlučín were fighting from the very first minute, however, Viktoria went in leading thanks to Tomáš Chorý who rebounded Kopic’s shot on goal. Moments later Roman Procházka scored from long-distance.

Lukáš Hejda could increase the margin but his header after Kopic’s crossed ball finished on crossbar. In the last minute of the first half the hosts also produced a very promising chance but Kozáčik was ready to save it.

The third goal was added in the 50th minute by Dominik Janošek! Finally Hlučín made it to reduce Viktoria’s margin thanks to Vojtěch Heiník who netted Štefek’s rebounded header.

Viktoria won over Hlučín 3-1 and edged them out of the 3rd MOL Cup round.

Christián Herc’s Commentary

“It was great. I really looked forward to this match and enjoyed it very much. I’m glad we won. These cup matches are always very similar, either here or in Slovakia. If you play with a team from lower league it’s full of tackling and if the opponent feels a chance, they will go for it. Hlučín played a good game today so we’re really happy to go on.“
