The rainy start suited Viktoria better. The home team had more control over the ball from the start and actively pushed forward. The first opportunity came from Ladra´s pass to Durosinmi, but the promising chance ended in an offensive foul.

The ninth minute brought a situation that no fan wants to see. After a set piece by the visitors, Martin Jedlička went for a high ball, but collided with Jablonec´s Cedidla, leaving the Viktoria goalkeeper shaken and lying on the turf. The whole situation required treatment and a subsequent substitution. Florian Wiegele took his place in goal, making his debut in the Czech top flight.

The game continued to swing from side to side, with both sides committing several fouls. Jablonec had one really promising chance in the first half when they shot from outside the box. However, Wiegele reacted quickly and then saved the rebound.

The referee added nine minutes of stoppage time in the first half. The home side made better use of the long stoppage time. Matěj Vydra deflected Pavel Šulc´s shot and gave Viktoria a one-goal lead.

The second half brought fairly cautious football on both sides.

In the 67th minute, Pavel Šulc had a great chance. However, he was unable to direct Prince Adua´s sharp ball into the net. In the 71st minute, the duo of Šulc and Ladra rushed towards Hanuš. However, the latter was unable to beat the Jablonec goalkeeper.

Plzeň continued to press Jablonec´s goal, but none of their attacks resulted in a goal.

Jablonec threatened from a corner kick. A floated cross into the box was directed towards the Plzeň goal by visiting player Martinec, but goalkeeper Wiegele made a superb save to deny the equalizer.

Jablonec scored from the last action of the match in the 90th minute. Čanturišvili´s long ball found Martinec in the penalty area, who passed to Tekijaški, who equalized with a shot under the crossbar. That ended the match at Doosan Arena.
