Both teams started the match actively, and the fans were treated to some exciting attacking play that could have resulted in goals. In the 16th minute, Dukla players hit Martin Jedlička's goal frame while attempting to shoot around him. However, Viktoria immediately launched a counterattack, and Rafiu Durosinmi's header hit the crossbar. A moment later, the same player shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the home goalkeeper saved his attempt.

In the 30th minute, Cheick Souaré had a chance to score when he aimed for the back post from inside the penalty area, but one of the defenders cleared his shot for a corner kick at the last moment. Five minutes later, the first goal of the match was scored. Home captain Jan Peterka headed the ball into the net. Dukla scored again before the end of the first half. They increased their lead to 2-0 after a penalty awarded by the referee for a foul by Martin Jedlička.

The Viktoria players made two changes for the second half. Karel Spáčil replaced Václav Jemelka in defense, and Matěj Vydra replaced Christoph Kabongo in attack. Vydra immediately got involved in an attacking combination when he received a long ball from Cheick Souaré. Matěj Vydra tried to shoot past the goalkeeper, who hesitated when coming out, but ultimately saved the shot.

Viktoria continued to try to turn the unfavorable result around and created further chances. Matěj Vydra got into one of them again, heading towards the front post, but the ball missed the goal. A moment later, Matěj Valenta attempted a first-time shot, but unfortunately, the result was the same. The score remained unchanged until the end of the match, and Viktoria lost to Dukla 0-2.
